Hope: From Daniel to the Resurrection
The message of hope weaves its way throughout Scripture. It is a primary message of both the Old and New Testaments. Part of Israel’s hope was grounded in God’s covenant promises to bless them as a nation and with a homeland. As we discover, these promises ultimately pointed forward to God’s ultimate plan to send His Son as Savior of the world. It is in Him alone that true hope can be found. The class is taught by Becky Bonesteel and Pastor Mel Stephan in Classroom 1 CFH. Find out more about this book.
Sustainable Christians
Do you like to dig in the dirt or to simply marvel at God’s creation? Have you considered how you fit into the big picture? What does the Bible tell us about living sustainability, both physically and spiritually? Through group discussions and independent study, this class will help you achieve a better understanding and appreciation of God’s provisions as well as your role and responsibilities to other Christians, your family, and your community. This class, taught by Frank Mace, meets in Classroom 2 CFH.
The Search For Significance
Be free to enjoy Christ's love by no longer basing your self-worth on accomplishments or the opinions of others. Learn how to see your worth through God's eyes and discover how to overcome Sa-tan's false beliefs with God's truths. This class is based on the best-selling book by Robert S. McGee; the purchase of the book is not required. This class is taught by Trish Gerstel in CL. Find out more about the book.
What Is the Mission of the Church?Christians today define mission more broadly and variably than ever before. Some argue that the mission of the Church is to confront injustice and alleviate suffering, doing more to express God's love for the world. Others are concerned that the church is in danger of losing its God-centeredness and thereby emphasize the proclamation of the gospel. Join Pastor Josh to discover the church’s true mission according to God’s Word. This class meets in Class 2 MFH. Find out more about this book.
