God’s Word is the method He uses most often to communicate directly with His people. There are few things more valuable for us as Christians than engaging in the study of God’s Word. Pastor Matt, Pastor Josh, Jon Gerstel, Craig Mosher, and Bob Michaels will be preaching through the Bible in order. To help every one of us to successfully tackle this challenge, the church will supply you with a number of helps:

* A free copy of Know Your Bible: All 66 Books Explained and Applied. This simple guide provides information about each book of the Bible, including its author, the date when the book was written and/or the time period covered, a one-sentence summary of the book’s theme, a synopsis of key details of the book, a quote or two from the book, unique or unusual facts that make the book stand out, and an inspirational or devotional thought drawn from each book.

* A free reading guide which will guide them in their reading. Generally one to three chapters are read each day.

* Links to a Web site which allows you to listen to the Bible as it is streamed over the internet. (There are also recorded copies of the Bible available in our church library on cassette, in both King James (KJV) and New International Versions (NIV).)

* Weekly bulletin inserts written by a member of our congregation, reflecting on a second passage from the book that will be preached on that week. This will help all us understand the benefits of not only reading the Bible, but meditating on and applying it to our daily lives.
